Support Elijah's Family After Loss Of Infant Son

On Wednesday morning, August 28, Lia’s Landscaping crew member Elijah Wilhite received the type of phone call that is every parent’s worst nightmare.

His six-week-old son was not breathing.

We sat with Elijah as he listened helplessly on speakerphone to paramedics attempting to revive Elijah Jr.

We cried with Elijah when he received the devastating news that Elijah Jr. did not make it.

No parent should ever have to bury their child. But, life can be cruel.

We are raising money for the Wilhite family to help with funeral costs and for support while Elijah takes time away from work.

Please find it in your heart to help a young grieving family navigate the aftermath of a tragedy. Four-year-old Alaysia (Ariana) and three-year-old Ky’Ree (Denitria) are now both without their baby brother.

Elijah, 26, has really stepped up for his family since joining Lia’s in June of 2023. When he didn’t have a vehicle he’d wake up at 5am to catch the bus to work or pay most of his paychecks for Lyfts, often arriving well before start time and sleeping on the couch at The Shop to make sure he wouldn’t be late.

He has never complained. Elijah always shows up with a tremendous attitude willing to do anything to help the team.

We stand by Elijah and his family through this trying period and thank you for doing the same.
