UPDATE: FILMING IS DONE! HECK YEAHHHHH!

I don't want to spoil the ending of my movie, but the crew did make it to Washington DC just before December of 2025. Over the past two months, I've been sorting through footage, putting it into categories, analyzing transcripts, pulling quotes, and figuring out my theme, character arcs, and story. I absolutely cannot wait to share this film with the world, but it will still be a bit of time.

What do your donations go towards now that filming is done?

While I will be doing the brunt of the work myself, there are still several key components that are out of my wheelhouse and will take this film from amateur to a professional piece that can be screened at local theatres and film festivals. My name is Elijah Reed. I've been making movies ever since I was a little kid. Starting this June, I've begun my most ambitious project as a filmmaker yet.

Beginning on July 4th, 2025, in response to the intense political divisions in our country, a group of individuals with the organization Liberty Walks will embark on a modern American pilgrimage. They will walk from Eugene, Oregon, to Washington, D.C., motivated not by disobedience or disruption, but by a desire for unity and conversation.

As they journey across the country, I’ll be joining them for various legs of the route, capturing the powerful stories, communities, and connections that emerge along the way.

This documentary is a project rooted in hope, resilience, and the belief that people still have the power to shape the future.
