A VALIANT WARRIOR is defined not by the absence of fear, but the presence of an unwavering spirit to overcome adversity.
On January 15, 2026, ADVERSITY knocked at my family’s door. While my nephew, ELIAS, was getting ready for his day, a fire broke out in his home causing him 3rd and 4th degree burns to over 50% of his body. He was taken by EMS to the nearest emergency room and within a hour rushed to the University of NC Burn Clinic at Chapel Hill, NC. That is where his parents received the news that no parent wishes to hear; he would be hospitalized and undergoing extensive treatment for 3-4 months.
My nephew ELIAS was born into a family of warriors; he’s a fighter but he can't fight alone and needs your help. How? We all took the first steps in lifting up prayers and providing him and the family emotional support. Now he will be undergoing skin grafts, daily bandaging, physical therapy, and patient care. He whispered to his mother, Doris, “I’m grateful to God that I’m alive!” Now isn’t that what we are all praying for and Isn’t that what we all want for ELIAS?
Let’s give him that opportunity without him having anything to concern him during his journey to recuperation. How? With your donation today, you can help him and the family cover all his ongoing medical and personal expenses.
When ADVERSITY knocks at your door, family and friends unite and fight. Any donation you can make is greatly appreciated by him and our family.
In Isaiah 61:3 God promises to give those who mourn a "crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair," signifying transformation, restoration, and hope from sorrow into praise and righteousness. This verse highlights God's power to redeem pain and bring forth something beautiful from tragic circumstances.
