I'm creating this fundraiser with a heavy heart. I'm not even completely sure how to say what needs to be said.

Elias Trudell went missing on the 30th of August 2024.

His body and the remains of his car were found in Mississippi. He was the victim of a homicide.

I've known Elias for most of his life, as he and my son grew up together, and I had known his late aunt, Joanne, since middle school.

I am asking for your help to please bring him home to his family, and to his mother Teri, so that they may mourn him and lay him to rest, surrounded by the people that love him.

Someone has to go get him to bring him home. That person or persons will either need to drive, and will need gas, hotels, and food for there and back, or fly and also need a hotel, food, and money for taxies or ubers. Flying creates it's own added expenses and added paperwork to transport a loved one, and the cost can vary greatly. I don't think this is something that someone should do alone. There should be two people going at the very least, so there will be added costs.

Once he's been brought home, there's burial expenses, etc, and there's just a lot of extenuating circumstances.
