New York has been hit hard with COVID-19.  The past couple of weeks my dad has been fighting COVID-19. He was taken to the hospital with a breathing problem and he was tested for COVID 19 and came back positive. He was admitted into the hospital and for the first few days, he was doing great. The entire family had a chance to talk to him through Zoom. We were so happy that he could talk to us and we were cheering him on with positive energy. Funny enough he was complaining that the hospital has not fed him and he said: "I can eat a whole elephant."  We have a family member working part-time at the same hospital my dad is in and he was able to take my dad soup. Sadly, three days later we found out he had a heart attack.  At this point, my dad is hooked up to a ventilator and dialysis machine. April 23rd, the MRI scan came back and the hospital told us my dad is brain dead.   With a heavy heart, our family decided that tomorrow we are going to unhook him from his life support.   While all of this is happening my mom Maria, brother Jonathan and sister Myrna came back positive with COVID-19. They are going through all the symptoms of COVID-19 and they are trying to stay strong for my dad.  Now, we need your support to cover for my dad's funeral cost as it was unexpected, to help with medicine and treatment costs for my family and to help my family with some essentials needs.
