Hi everyone,
My name is Brandon, and I’m creating this GoFundMe for my daughter Eliana my beautiful, strong little girl and to ask for your support as we face yet another difficult chapter in her medical journey.
When Eliana was born on September 10, 2024, we already knew she had a serious heart condition called AVSD (Atrioventricular Septal Defect). From the moment she arrived, she fought hard. She spent her first month and a half in the NICU, where she underwent surgery to have a G-tube placed because feeding on her own was too overwhelming for her little heart.
At just six months old, Eliana had her first open-heart surgery. That experience changed me forever. Watching your child go through something so major is something no parent is ever prepared for. That same night, due to complications, she needed emergency surgery. Fluid had built up around her heart, causing her heart rate to spike and nearly fail.
After a terrifying week, we were finally able to bring her home.
But now, we’ve been hit with even more devastating news: doctors found a leak and a blockage in her heart, and she will need another surgery.
To confirm the diagnosis, Eliana recently had a heart catheterization procedure. We were sent home but that night, things took a frightening turn. She developed a nosebleed that wouldn’t stop. It got so bad that she started vomiting blood, and we rushed her to the ER. Eliana had lost so much blood that she needed a blood transfusion and emergency intervention to stop the bleeding.
She’s stable now, but doctors still don’t know what caused the episode. Our local hospital doesn’t have a Pediatric ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) specialist, so we may need to be flown out of state for further care.
The funds from this GoFundMe will help cover the growing costs of Eliana’s care including medical bills, out of state travel for specialists, emergency expenses, and time away from work to be by her side. Anything raised will go directly toward giving her the best chance at a healthy, happy future.
I never thought I’d be in a place where I’d need to ask the world for help like this. But as a dad, I’ll do whatever it takes to keep Eliana safe and give her the life she deserves.
If you can help whether it’s donating, sharing, or just lifting her up in your thoughts I’m forever grateful. Thank you for standing with us in our fight.
