UPDATE AS OF 12/120/2025: Eli’s transplant took place on November 4th as previously stated. He had a rough two weeks, a lot of nausea, upset stomach & body aches. Doctors had told us the first couple of weeks were going to be rough & they were, but thankfully he’s a lot better now a days. He is still in the UCLA vicinity since he’s still being monitored. He was having Dr appointments every other day for the first week and a half, but he’s now going twice a week since he’s doing a lot better. He’s no longer in the hospital, but he is in a UCLA hotel near the hospital in case of an emergency. From his parents, his grandma, his brother Josh & myself are taking turns staying with him since he isn’t allowed to be alone. In a couple of weeks Eli will be getting a biopsy done next month where they will determine when he’ll be coming home. We are praying the results will be good so if it’s the Lords will, he’ll get to come home before the 100 days. Eli is in positive spirits. For the people that know him personally, he’s slowly going back to his goofy self. His doctors say his numbers are looking good & we have faith they will continue like that. Please continue keeping Eli & his family in your prayers, so that he can come home soon ♥️. As stated before, Eli is staying at a hotel where they’re charging them weekly, his parents are traveling back & forth to be with Eli. The holidays are coming up & they’ll be with him in LA spending time with him. They have many expenses from food, gas & hotel stays, any donation goes a long way for them. Even a prayer & share also go a long way. Anything God puts in your heart is appreciated. Thank you from the Lopez Family.

UPDATE: Eli was admitted to UCLA Hospital on Sunday October 26th, 2025 to begin his transplant process. Before his transplant takes place his doctors put him on radiation for 4 days followed by chemotherapy for another 3 days. He has a day of “rest” on Monday November 3rd, 2025. His transplant will be taking place on Tuesday November 4th, 2025 (time unknown). After his transplant takes place he will have to remain in the hospital for at least 100 days for observation. Drs say he can be out before the 100 days if Eli shows progress, with no complications. We have faith that he will be home before the 100 days. Eli is taking it day by day, even though some days are better than others, but he remains positive through all this. We ask to keep Eli & his family in your prayers. As previously stated, all the funds that are donated to this GoFundMe are being used for food, gas, hotel stays & hospital bills that his insurance isn’t covering. Any amount goes a long way & very much appreciated. Even if you’re not able to donate, a share and a prayer goes a long for Eli & his family. Eli & his family want to thank everyone who has donated & prayed for him. We believe the Lord is putting His healing hand over Eli’s body.

UPDATE: As of June 22, 2025, Eli is half way through his chemo treatment. On Friday June 20th, we did receive the news that Eli will need a bone marrow transplant. We are praying his brother Joshua will be a match. Eli will be getting another biopsy after his 4th chemo round and if his labs look okay he will be going home for about 3 weeks. Eli will have to come back to UCLA (or maybe somewhere closer to home) for the transplant. His transplant will happen around August. He will be in the hospital an additional 100 days after the transplant, so he can be monitored. So far, he has had a round of spinal chemo and will have another dose on June 23rd. And his regular chemo (every Tuesday). He’s going on his 3rd chemo round, and he has one more after that before going home. Please continue keeping him in your prayers as he goes through this journey. He is ready to go home for a few weeks to soak up as much family time as possible before going back to the hospital.
Any amount donated will go towards travel expenses as mentioned previously. His parents have taken time off work to go stay with him, so any amount donated helps a lot. Thank you

Eli Lopez is a 21 year old young man that was diagnosed with leukemia on 6/04/2025. The people that know Eli know he’s a smart, family/church oriented, humble young man. He recently passed his phlebotomy class and received his certificate in the mail. His goal is to become an RN someday. He was excited to start applying for a job as a phlebotomist, but unfortunately, he will have to postpone that for just a bit longer. He started at Adventist Health Twin Cities then he got moved to Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara & in the next few hours he will be transferred to UCLA to start his treatment. These funds will go towards all necessary expenses for his family since they will be traveling back and forth and for his treatment that his insurance won’t cover. He has a long way to go, but we know & believe God will get Eli & his family through this. Please keep the Lopez family in your prayers.

Any amount is greatly appreciated, even a share goes a long way.
