I am Elfreda I. Bartley-Henson and I was in a motor vehicle accident on 4/21/23, which caused my disability currently and my financial distress. My recovery and treatment were disrupted by my displacement from my residence of 17 years. I was forced to live in my vehicle in inclement weather in October 2023 for two months. I was unable to provide shelter or food for myself. Now, I am again seeking shelter, a place to heal. My finances are compromised; I have been unable to work for approximately 2 years due to my disability.  I also was yet a victim of another motor vehicle accident on December 16,2024 wherein someone ran the four way stop sign totaling my vehicle; again financially compromised and seeking housing.  I am seeking any help given to me to remedy my situation until I am able to provide for myself. My medical insurance, which I fought to keep due to my inability to find appropriate doctors for my treatment and care for my injuries, is now in jeopardy. My car insurance, my car, and my car payment are in jeopardy. My belongings have also been in storage since October 2023, and I have been struggling with what little money I had to keep what little I do have in belongings. Now, I have no resource for housing, for my storage of which I am now locked out of until payment, no financial resource for my medical care and treatments currently receiving, and no financial means of support due to my insurance disability being terminated and my employment of 14 years being terminated abruptly for circumstances beyond my control. My benefits owed to me were not paid or reimbursed by my employer upon much request. Now I am forced again to live in my vehicle in inclement weather.
