Hi everyone, I'm Elena. I'm a composer and performer, and I'm trying to get FFS.

I never really thought I'd be interested in surgical interventions, but as things get scarier and scarier out here, I realize that being perceived as trans is dangerous. I also generally would like to do whatever I can to cut down on how frequently and readily I'm misgendered, and FFS is probably the simplest thing I can try towards that.

Unfortunately, as a musician who teaches privately, I'm not given health insurance through my employment, and state-run insurance plans typically don't cover gender-affirming surgeries for trans people. So...I've decided to start raising funds towards helping me get these surgeries. It's probably not going to happen in the next five years or anything, but if I don't start, I won't know. Funds that aren't used for surgeries would go towards HRT expenses. Hopefully, my private studio will remain intact enough to keep me afloat, if not grow to the point I can cover those costs (reach out if you wanna book lessons), but there's no way that would begin to cover the surgical costs, so...here I am. Every bit helps.
