Support Elena's fight against Neuroblastoma cancer
Donation protected
Hi. We are raising money to support my 6-year-old niece Elena and her family as they navigate a very difficult and intensive 18-month+ treatment program for Neuroblastoma cancer. This is a rare and aggressive cancer, and Elena is considered to be high risk because the disease has spread from large tumors in her abdomen and chest, to many areas in her body including her bone marrow/bones.
Until December 16, 2024, Elena was a happy, healthy, and active 1st grader with no apparent illness. And, overnight, her family was shocked to learn how sick she really was. She is now fighting for her life.
Her parents, Gavin and Morgan Grundtner, had just purchased their first home December 1st, and couldn't wait to move their kiddos Elena (and 1-year-old son Nathan), into their new home. But, instead they were hit by a freight train with the news of Elena's health condition.
We have set a goal of $18,000 ($1000/month for an 18-month journey), to help Morgan and Gavin with medical and life expenses that have just escalated astronomically with Elena's medical condition. If you can support Elena's family financially, please do so by contributing to this GoFundMe campaign.
If you prefer to send a check and/or a care package directly to the family, please send to: Gavin/Morgan (or Elena) Grundtner at 721 Ruidoso Drive, Saginaw, TX 76179.
Also, family members will be traveling from Minnesota periodically to help with Elena's care. If you have frequent flyer miles or free hotel stays you would like to donate, please contact Barbara Majerus, so these donations can be coordinated.
Elena is an incredibly smart, joyous, funny, and precious child. We believe in miracles, and we need you to believe too! We are immensely grateful for your prayers, love and support.
We will be providing regular updates on Elena's Caring Bridge site (search Elena Grundtner). Please note that if you donate on Caring Bridge -- it DOES NOT go to the family, rather it goes to the Caring Bridge platform/non-profit.
Thank you so very much!
