For those who haven’t heard, Elena was admitted to Children’s National Medical Center in DC for Leukemia last week. Daniel and Montana are still in shock…..trying to process it all. Just a few days ago they had no clue. She is a one of a kind, beautiful, spunky girl and it breaks our hearts to think about her road to recovery and how she, at age 4, will have to suffer.

Still, being the faithful family they are, they have shared how thankful they are. Thankful for Montana’s “mom intuition” to take Elena in to the doctor’s to get checked out. Thankful for rapid access to a state of the art hospital and wonderful staff. Thankful that this leukemia is very treatable in children with a very high success rate.

Additionally, they have been so moved by the overwhelming support and love they have already received from family, friends, church, coworkers, even people they’ve never met. There has been an outpouring of love and they feel it! So many people are praying. It means so much. They are witnessing the power of this community and are so thankful.
