Support Eleanor - A wig, bills & a bit of relief

Hi everyone,

I’m setting up this fundraiser for someone incredibly special - Eleanor.

At just 29, Eleanor is bravely facing a breast cancer diagnosis. With her 30th birthday just around the corner, she’s navigating treatment with quiet strength and determination. She moved to Oswestry to begin her role as a graduate Orthotist at RJAH only a year ago. So unfortunately, having been with the trust a short time, the sick pay she is entitled to will not cover the length of time needed away from work for her chemotherapy, surgery and recovery.

On top of everything, Eleanor and her boyfriend Rory have just moved into a new flat, excited to build a life together.. But now, instead of settling in, they’re facing a sudden financial strain.

She would never ask for help herself - and I know she wasn’t keen on this being set up… but the reality is, cancer treatment doesn’t stop the bills from coming.

One of Eleanor’s hopes during this time is to purchase a high-quality wig. It might sound small - but it’s not. It’s about helping her feel like herself again. Unfortunately, wigs that look and feel natural can be surprisingly expensive. If you’re able to contribute anything at all, no matter how small, it would mean the world… not just financially, but emotionally too. Your support would help Eleanor focus on healing, not worrying.
