Support Elba's Final Wishes

Elba was diagnosed with Hepatocellular Carcinoma (Liver Cancer) on April 5th, 2025. Naturally, any family will be devastated by such news. Considering that she was just diagnosed, we thought we had a fighting chance to get her the care she needed to survive this horrible monster. Unbeknownst to us, things would take a turn for the worst, and at an accelerated rate. Her first treatment of immunotherapy on 05/28/2025 exacerbated her symptoms. The liver mass more than doubled in size. Elba was rushed and admitted into the hospital on 06/04/2025, where she spent 4 days being tested and then finally discharged on 06/08/2025. Unfortunately, prior to her discharge, the oncologist confirmed that the liver mass had taken over and Elba was now in her last stages of cancer.

As of 06/08/2025, Elba has been in hospice at home per her wishes. We are seeking help to finalize her funeral/cremation arrangements. The Hospice of New York has taken Elba off of her medications, as the cancer has spread to her lungs and throat. She is no longer able to consume food and can take only small sips of water if she is conscious enough. Her ability to engage in conversation or even stay awake has diminished to almost not at all. We've received confirmation today, 06/17/2025, that considering her condition, we'd be lucky to have her for another 24 hours. Had someone told us just 10 days ago that this would be reality, we would have never believed it. So as you can imagine, between the anticipation of death mixed with the heartbreak of our loss, this has been the worst experience ever. At this time, we are asking for help to send her off properly. Anything helps.
