Dear Swan family,

I come to you with heavy hearts and a plea for assistance for one of our own, Elba Gonzalez. Elba isn't just a member of our dance family; she's the embodiment of perseverance and passion. Some of you may know her as the dedicated student in our Adult Ballet class, who never misses a beat on Monday nights. Despite life's challenges, Elba has steadfastly pursued her dream of mastering ballet at an older age. Her dedication earned her a role of Mother Ginger and for the first time in her life she graced the stage in our Nutcracker performances last December.

However, tragedy struck our beloved Elba last Friday, May 3rd. Her world was shattered by the unexpected passing of her 32-year-old son. As a community, we cannot fathom the depth of a mother's anguish at such a loss. While we cannot heal her broken heart, we can offer our support in easing her burden during this most difficult time.

Elba now faces the daunting task of arranging her son's funeral, coupled with the responsibility of helping to support her two young granddaughters. The financial strain of unexpected funeral expenses only adds to her grief.

This is where our Swan family can make a difference. Every contribution, no matter how small, can help alleviate some of the financial stress Elba is enduring. Let's rally together to show her that she is not alone.
