Support Ela's Mum's Battle with Schizophrenia

Hey all! My friend Ela’s mum was diagnosed with severely declining schizophrenia and bipolar disorder in 2021. Doctors were able to control the symptoms through medicines these past years. This August, we were devastated to hear that her illness has relapsed very strongly and her body developed treatment resistance against the meds.
Her mum is prescribed with ECT (electroconvulsive therapy) which is one of the last resorts after an unsuccessful suicide attempt. It's been an emotional turmoil for ela & her little brother & sister as she was her only support throughout life.
Cost breakown
Each ECT session will cost $320 and the treatment is prescribed once a week for 3 months.
Anyone aware of caring for a loved one who is struggling with a mental disorder can truly understand the depth of this. Even seeing your loved one going through depression & anxiety can feel devastating.
