Elaine, my wife of 44 years, is facing the hardest fight of her life. Since last July, she has been dealing with a wound that has not healed, and that ongoing infection became much more serious. On March 11, the infection contributed to a car accident, and since then everything has changed for our family. Elaine is now in the ICU, where she is battling the infection and the sepsis it has caused. There have been some good days, but the effects of the infection have taken a heavy toll on her body.
I spend each day at the hospital by Elaine’s side, helping care for her in every way I can. Right now, she is unable to eat without help, so I am there feeding her and supporting her through each day. We are holding on to hope that she will continue to respond to treatment, regain strength, and recover enough to come home where she belongs. This has been an overwhelming and heartbreaking time, and we are asking for support as we face the medical bills ahead and the physical rehabilitation Elaine will need on her road to recovery. Any donation, share, or message of encouragement would mean so much to us during this difficult time.
it is with much sorrow that I have to share that Good Friday at 12:35 my wife has lost her battle. She passed peacefully it’s was hard to be there but I was praying that she would recover but the infection was to much for her and now she’s at peace. Now I need to plan a funeral for my wife and get my family together for a memorial service.
