On January 29th, our mom was hospitalized for respiratory failure caused by pneumonia. After a series of tests and difficult days in the ICU, we learned that the underlying cause was ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). Since then, our world has changed in ways we never could have imagined. Watching someone you love fight so hard while facing such a life-altering diagnosis is heartbreaking — but through it all, we have felt God’s presence in ways we cannot fully put into words.

Because my mom has been unable to work since January, everyday expenses have continued to pile up. As we begin preparing for the significant care she will need once she leaves the ICU, the financial weight can feel overwhelming. The funds raised here will help cover her living expenses and any additional costs that arise for her care and recovery. Your generosity is helping lift that burden in such a tangible way. More than the financial help, though, it’s the prayers, messages, and encouragement that have carried us.
