My name is Elaine Bradley, I'm 24 years old and am a non-binary individual living in Georgia. This GoFundMe is to help raise money to cover top surgery, which medically speaking is a double mastectomy.
My current place of employment does not offer health insurance, so I have coverage through my parent's insurance provided by the state of Georgia. The state of Georgia has opted out of transgender related health care coverage, which means that they will not pay for any of my top surgery costs. Between the cost of the surgical procedure ($9,000) and the cost of anesthesia and use of the operating room ($2,275), the total cost for me to get top surgery is $11,275. This cost doesn't include travel costs and hotel expenses near my surgeon.
