Dear friends, family, and fellow neighbors,

On May 16, 2025, a devastating tornado hit London, KY—a small town in southeastern Kentucky. The devastation is overwhelming, and many have tragic stories. I am asking for support for a dear colleague, Elaine Thompson, who lost her mother in the storm while she and her son were trapped in a car by a fallen tree. She and her son survived with the clothes on their backs. She has lost everything—family and all belongings. I know going forward the emotional and financial toll will be challenging.
