This is my amazing mother in law! Elaine brown was recently diagnosed with cancer in her mouth,lip,and lymph nodes.the past few weeks have been full of appointments and she had 6 in the next few weeks and a major surgery coming up on September 11. The doctors at kirklin clinic at UAB will be going in early that morning to remove most of her bottom lip,& little bit of her top lip,a piece of her jaw and a bilateral neck dissection on the right side to remove the cancer from her lymph nodes. She is on a fixed income and is currently having to pay out for co-pays to meet with these surgeons,scans,and medication. That is having to be made at a compound pharmacy to help try to ease her mouth until she can get surgery. Gas getting back and forth to these appointments,as well as the co-pays are difficult for her to pay for and when she has her surgery someone will be staying with her.she has appointments on August 22, August 26, August 28 , September 2, Sept 10 and we have to be in Birmingham at 5 am September 11 for her surgery! We hate to even ask anyone for anything, but she could definitely use some assistance financially and most definitely need all the prayers and good vibes you guys can send her way!
