Hello everyone, my name is Karlya. I am Elaina’s mom. I would just like to first thank everyone for all your prayers; it has truly meant a lot to our family.

About a week ago, I had taken Elaina into the ER for a constant nosebleed. I didn’t think much of it due to the way kids play; I figured it was from that. However, as we’re sitting in the waiting room, her body turns pale and starts developing bruises all over. Elaina is one of the rare people to go through what is called Thrombocytopenia, and her body rejects the treatment. The doctors do not know the exact cause of what it is from; however, if we hadn’t taken her in that night, she wouldn’t have been here much longer. Her platelets were at a dangerously low 2,000 level when I brought her into the ER, and the range it’s supposed to be in is between 200,000 to 250,000.

The reason for this GoFundMe is to help with the cost of going to see a specialist. Our nearest children’s hospital is 3 1/2 hours away. These donations will help cover the cost of travel, medical stays, and also help with paying for a private teacher so she can finish her kindergarten year. I would just like to once again thank everyone who had my daughter in their thoughts and prayers.
