Elaina Claire Hedtke was born on May 05, 2025, at 27 weeks and 3 days gestation weighing 1 lb 8 ounces.  

She has been in the NICU since then and has been fighting a never ending battle. She has very severe lung disease and requires constant respiratory support. She will also require cranial reconstructive surgery in the future to correct her misshapen head. Our family is asking for donations to help take care of extensive medical bills, household management, etc. Elaina is not expected to come home until her first birthday.

It’s painful to have to ask for help, but we are in need. I myself am still recovering from the traumatic pregnancy along with raising another child. My boyfriend is also facing the struggle of becoming a father for the first time and making ends meet for our family.
