FUNDRAISER ENDED. Thank you to everyone who has so generously donated!

Two hardworking kitchen staff of our beloved El Nopalito restaurant were taken into custody by ICE agents earlier this week. They have legal advisors, but they need financial support to help cover expenses in custody (for phone calls, legal communications, personal hygiene items, etc.), and to support their families with housing, food, utilities, and similar expenses while they are out of work. Additional legal and travel expenses are expected as they work through the process.

At the familiy's request, we set up this fundraiser and will disperse all proceeds to the brothers or their families directly, or use funds to send needed items to them in custody, as they determine is most beneficial to them.

I have gotten to know the El Nopalito family and staff over the years we have had owned Inkwood Books across the street. They have fed us, our families, and employees with kindness and generosity for years.

I have permission from LM, the brother of the two El Nopalito emloyees, to withdraw the donated funds and send them to the family outside of GoFundMe.
