Support My Mommy’s Battle Against Breast Cancer

Dear friends and family,

My mommy, L. Mack, has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. L. Mack has already begun the initial stages of treatment which consists of several rounds of infusion every 21 days. Subsequently, L. Mack will undergo surgery for a bilateral mastectomy. #Flatties ❤️ After recovery, a devoted team of doctors will administer additional rounds of radiation as they monitor her body’s response to treatment throughout the process. I kindly ask that you keep my mommy in your prayers as she fights (and wins) her battle with cancer.

L. Mack is a loving mom, aunt, sister, friend, and caregiver. Those who know her well will attest to her pure, honest, and resilient nature. She offers light, love, and compassion to every person she meets. Whether you need advice, a listening ear, or a hearty laugh to lift your spirits, L. Mack will be there.

Throughout her life, L. Mack has achieved greatness in every passion and dream she aspired to pursue. L. Mack began her entrepreneurial journey pouring into her natural talent and becoming an esteemed, celebrated master cosmetologist in the 90s. She went on to work for tv and film under the mentorship of Emmy nominated Charles Gregory Ross. L. Mack later grew interest in holistic healing and worked to earn certifications as a myokinesthetic practitioner and master gardener of UGA extension. All while prevailing as a full-time mom to me and a bonus mom to my two siblings.

A few years ago, L. Mack made a generous decision to become a live-in full-time caregiver for my grandfather, my Poppy. Poppy has since been diagnosed with dementia and a number of other maladies. As L. Mack provided care for my grandfather she offered the idea that he write down his feelings and thoughts each morning which will soon be available to the public and hopefully can encourage others facing a journey similar to his. Doctors have decided it will be best that my grandfather is moved to a memory-care facility so that he can receive the care he needs.
