SAVE EL FARO DE LOS ANIMALES

For 25 years, we have rescued, rehabilitated, and saved thousands of abandoned dogs and cats in Puerto Rico. And right now, our sanctuary is facing the worst financial crises in our history. We are trying to raise money to stay open for the rest of 2026 and to achieve that we need to raise over 50 thousand dollars.

Over 90 rescued animals still depend on us every single day for food, medical care, medications, shelter, and safety.

But if El Faro closes… that rescue work ends. Thousands already saved. Thousands more that could still be saved.

If we disappear, many of these animals have nowhere else to go.

And the heartbreaking reality is this:

It’s not only about the animals currently at El Faro.

It’s also about the future animals we will no longer be able to save.

The abused dog nobody wanted.

The abandoned puppies left in boxes.

The injured street cat.

The seniors.

The shy dogs.

The emergencies.

For 25 years, El Faro has been the place that said YES when everyone else said no. Now we are asking for help ourselves.

We have already been forced to close admissions and reduce staff hours just to survive. But even in the middle of this crisis, not one employee walked away. Our veterinary technicians and staff stayed.

These are hardworking people, many of them heads of families, who accepted reduced paid hours because they believe in this mission and refuse to abandon these animals in their hardest moment. They are fighting beside us to save El Faro.
