Our beloved friend Eka Isangedighi is in need of our help! In case you haven't heard Eka is battling Cancer.
Eka is a pillar of our community, a Greensboro Police Corporal, a mentor, a supportive friend, and a loving wife and mom. She began serving our city in 2008 as a 911 operator, comforting callers in crisis and helping first responders save lives. A year later, she joined the Greensboro Police Department, where she has worked as a Patrol Officer, School Resource Officer, Detective, and now as a SRO Corporal.
After welcoming her daughter, in late 2023, Eka experienced severe postpartum complications that led to a devastating cancer diagnosis (lymphoma). Since then, she has been quietly fighting this battle with courage and determination. Eka has been fighting all while still being a loving mother to two toddlers (Kraven and Olive) and a wife to Greensboro Firefighter (Jurica).
As medical bills mount and she prepares to take extended leave from work, our goal is to help lift the financial burden so Eka can focus on what matters most: healing and time with her family.
Please join us in surrounding her with an overwhelming love and support through donations, sharing her story, and keeping her in your thoughts and prayers. Every gesture, no matter the size, will make a difference. Thank you!
