Friends, Family, and Kind Supporters-
On January 19th, EJ slipped on black ice while walking his dog, Flanker. This fall resulted in a severe spinal cord injury which has had a significant impact on his overall mobility. He received a cervical spinal cord decompression with stabilization from C1-C6 to alleviate severe spinal cord swelling and hopefully restore motor function.
The recovery from Central Spinal cord injury and extensive surgery is expected to be lengthy and challenging. EJ will likely face many weeks of rehabilitation, physical therapy, and medical follow-ups to regain strength, mobility, and independence.
EJ is in the process of being transferred to The Shepherd Center in Atlanta which is a renowned rehabilitation hospital that specializes in spinal cord injuries.
We are reaching out to our community for support to help alleviate some of the financial burden that comes along with EJ’s extensive recovery plan. We are immensely grateful for any support you can provide during this challenging time. Your generosity will make a meaningful difference in EJ’s journey to recovery and offer hope, comfort, and encouragement when he needs it most
