Support Eileen's Battle Against Cancer
Donation protected
Hey guys! In June of this year, my sister Eileen had a routine colonoscopy that resulted in a cancer diagnosis. At her first oncology appointment, a routine CT scan was ordered to evaluate the stage and if was metastatic. Fortunately, it was not but it did reveal a secondary cancer of the kidney, renal cell carcinoma. She had surgery on September 12th to remove the kidney and began treatment on September 25th for the initial cancer diagnosis. She continued to work in order to maintain the financial responsibility of the household that includes her 2 sons. On October 11th, she was admitted to the hospital where she stayed for 12 days with serious side effects from both the kidney surgery and the Chemo Radiation treatment. She was in intermediate care with Neutropenia and received 5 blood transfusions and 4 bags of platelets. She developed an abscess from the kidney removal and had a drain tube placed. The radiation created an ulcer that hit an artery and she was bleeding internally. She has now returned to work and is nearing the end of her treatment. These events have taken a toll financially. She has exhausted all options available to get back on her feet financially but is still in need of help getting there. I felt that this would be a good way to provide her some assistance. If you can donate any amount, our family would be very grateful. If donating is not possible, prayers for her healing are greatly appreciated.
