I’m writing this on behalf of my incredible mother-in-law and father-in-law, who are currently facing an incredibly difficult chapter in their lives.
Eileen (my mother-in-law) has been a caregiver to Larry (my father-in-law) who was diagnosed with early-stage Alzheimer's in 2015. He was let go from his job in December 2016 due to not remembering certain tasks. They depleted their savings and had to sell their house until he was approved for disability.
Now, Eileen is facing her own battle and needs help to care for herself as well as Larry. Eileen was diagnosed with Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer and is about to start chemo treatment.
My husband and I are new parents with a 7-month-old daughter, and having Mat away from our home has been tough. He, along with his mother's sisters, has been providing around-the-clock care for both Eileen & Larry the past few weeks.
Larry & Eileen are two of the most selfless, hardworking, and loving people I know and always the first to offer a helping hand or open their home to others in need. Now, they find themselves in a moment of urgent need, and we’re turning to our community for support. This fundraiser is meant to help relieve some of the immense pressure they’re under and give them the space to focus on healing and stability.
We’re humbly asking for any support you can give — whether it’s through a donation, sharing this page, or simply keeping them in your thoughts and prayers.
Every little bit makes a difference, and we are so grateful for the kindness of those around us.
With heartfelt thanks,
Amanda Friedman-Mujica & The Mujica Family
