Support EEA's Rescue Horses with a Stronger Fence

Update 5/22/25 - It is with a heavy heart, I need to announce that the beautiful horse that is the face of this fundraiser and EEA, has passed away. To say we are heartbroken is not a strong enough word.
Henri Standing Bear was the best horse on the planet! He was a wonderful lesson horse but he exceed in helping humans with therapeutic riding. He was calm and smart. He was truly a unicorn. We are lost without him. He will live in our hearts forever.
With that sad news, there is a bright spot. We have almost completed phase 1 of the fence! The new horses that were planning to come live here, will be on their way soon! So now we will work on phase 2 of the fence, which is an almost 2 acre fence!
We have decided to have a celebration of Henri's life with all his favorite people this summer. We will spread his ashes out under the cottonwoods so he will be here with us always. Details to come. And you will all be invited!
EEA is in need of your help! Enchanted Equine Adventures has been in business for 13 years now. We have adopted a dozen rescue horses and they have touched the hearts of hundreds of people! Now we need some help from everyone in our incredible circle of friends, community and beyond!! We appreciate all your support over the years!!
For the last 13 years, our beautiful horses have slowly been destroying our fence. From Cinnabar getting her shoe caught in the fence, to Henri putting his head over the fence (and bending it in the process) to eat yummy Cottonwood leaves, or Clifford chasing Scout into, up AND over the fence because he didn’t like the new guy. Our silly T post fence has just about had it!!! It helps that we watch Homestead Rescue and learned that our fence was built for small livestock like pigs and sheep, not horses, especially draft horses! :(
If I hit the lottery, I would build a new entrance on the street side of the property, make the footing in the orchard ADA accessible, plant new fruit trees, get new picnic tables, chairs and place a gazebo out there. Then I would create small paddocks out under the Cottonwood trees for my new “Reading to the Horses” program!!! Imagine kids of all ages, reading books to rescue horses in a beautiful NM outdoor classroom!
For now, let’s focus on the 1st step of getting a middle fence put up. I’d like to offer more lessons for adults and specifically veterans, but I’m going to need some BIG horses to do so. Henri and Pony Boy can’t do all the lessons!! In order to house some gentle giants, we’re looking to put up a taller fence. It will be a strong pipe fence to keep them from breaking the fence down again.
Please donate to our Go Fund Me to help support phase 1 and 2 of our new fence project to give more rescue horses a chance to help humans! We will be hiring an actual professional to help us build the fence so it is done correctly and lasts us a very long time.
Any extra money from phase #1 will go towards phase #2 for a safe and secure fence around the entire horse paddock.
