Dear Friends, Family And Kind Supporters,
My name is Ramona. Edwin is my beloved husband. We have been married for 22 years and have a daughter, Patricia. Edwin has been diagnosed with stage 2 renal cell carcinoma this past October 2024. He has undergone surgery to remove his left kidney. Recently, his CT scan of the chest showed the possibility that the cancer has spread to both of his lungs and was then referred to a thoracic surgeon. If the multiple lung nodules that have been found will continue to grow bigger, the plan is to undergo a wedge resection.
As you can imagine, this diagnosis has brought tears and sadness to our family. Never we could have thought that cancer will take a toll on Edwin's health as he used to live a healthy life. Along with the physical and emotional toll of the illness, the financial burden of surgery, hospital stay, medical treatments and other associated costs is overwhelming. Despite the health insurance, the medical expenses are not fully covered, and the costs are high. That's where we are hoping you can help.
Our family is reaching out to ask for your support in this challenging time. We are doing everything we can to ensure he gets the treatment and care needed to fight this battle.
We’ve set up this GoFundMe to raise funds to assist with:
Medical treatments (including surgery, immunotherapy, or other necessary procedures)
Prescription medications and ongoing treatments
Hospital copay and other medical care
Laboratory and Radiology Tests
Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward helping Edwin get the best possible care and reduce the financial strain during this difficult time. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign with others who might be able to help.
The journey ahead is full of uncertainties, but with your help, we can ensure that Edwin gets the support he needs to fight with all his strength and courage.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support. Your generosity, love, and prayers are deeply appreciated.
With heartfelt thanks,
Ramona and Patricia Albunan
