Support Edwin Chavez's Medical Recovery

The sweet Chavez family is in need of support! Papa Chavez, Edwin, fell ill on August 12 and has been in the hospital recovering and getting medical care from a team of doctors. Edwin has Medicare but they are requiring they pay 20% of the medical bills. As you can imagine, staying in a hospital for 2+ weeks is expensive. He has been told he will not be able to drive or work a regular job until he has either healed significantly or is able to have a liver transplant - this can be anywhere from 6 months to a year. While they wait to hear if he needs a liver transplant, he is receiving treatment to determine the cause which has included, but is not limited to, several endoscopies, lots of medicine, and round the clock care.

If you are able to give anything, they would be very grateful. Once Edwin is home, we will be setting up a meal train, so look out for that as well.
