Hello all,

My name is Edward Herrera and I had an aneurysm rupture.

I'm lucky to be alive but I must relearn how to walk. I'm out of work until I can walk again and I don't know how long that will be. One of the doctors estimated that it could be as long as 12 months. In the meantime, I have all types of bills piling up with no way to pay them. I had been struggling with an infection and edema in my left foot for 2 years prior to my aneurysm that was excruciatingly painful and extremely expensive to treat. Then 6 months ago my mom was diagnosed with colon cancer and I also found out my best friend/brother Pete was close to complete kidney failure. On August 13, 2023 my Dad passed away. Needless to say, the last 1-2 years has been a challenging time to say the least. Throughout the entire time I have renewed and strengthened my relationship with the Lord and he has been my shelter from the raging storm of the last 2 years.

A good friend of mine convinced me that it was OK to initiate this fundraiser. I had my reservations because I've never been one to take handouts with the exception being from family yet those were relatively small amounts and few and far between. I've always worked and worked hard but this current situation is a completely new frontier and I realized that I need help as I cannot do it on my own. To whoever can help by donating or sharing I give you my heartfelt thanks and know that I do not take anything for granted. To those who cannot donate or share, I thank you as well for reading about my fundraiser and would welcome your prayers. I understand how challenging and overwhelming life can be and realize that many times it can feel as though there is no room for anything else. Trust me, I've been there before many times.
