Support Edward Thrall's Urgent Medical Needs

My name is Bonnie Lange. I'm starting this GoFundMe for my fiancé, Edward Thrall. He has fallen on some very hard times. He got sick at the beginning of September. He's the type that doesn't complain when he doesn't feel well. He stayed at his place in bed for several days and got so sick that he had to go by ambulance to the hospital. He had sepsis. It took two weeks to find the right antibiotic to clear the infection. Doctors discovered he had kidney stones blocking both kidneys so they couldn't drain properly. They had to do a quick procedure to put a tube in each kidney to drain them continuously and a catheter also. They scheduled surgery to have the stones removed 4 days later on Friday. They prepared him for surgery. They went to get the machine ready that was to zap the stones and the machine didn't work. So they sent him to a nursing home for rehab. They scheduled it for the following Friday, which was last Friday. He was getting a cold so it was postponed again. That same day, Medicare said they were done paying. All his days were used up. Ed lives on his social security check every month and nothing else. He has no savings. The nursing home asked if he had a charge card. If so, he could pay for 2 weeks of care there. It was $4,100.00 for 2 weeks. That's over twice what he gets on social security. He could get that off his card but he can't get more. Plus, he has to somehow pay it back. Now, 3 days ago he caught COVID. He's very sick. And now it pushes his surgery ahead 4 weeks more. A person with COVID has to wait 4 weeks for a surgical procedure unless it's a life or death situation. The nursing home will want more money a week from Monday. Even though he's there, his monthly bills still have to be paid at home. I've helped all I can. I've not been able to be with him because of my cancer situation and having pneumonia and the fatigue that comes with chemo. If anyone can help in any way, it would be so appreciated. Love to all!
