Hello, my name is Julie, and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends Edward and Jennifer Burbo.

Recently, Edward was diagnosed with Mantle Cell Lymphoma, and he will soon begin a treatment plan that includes chemotherapy and immunotherapy infusions. His treatments are scheduled on two consecutive days each cycle in Lansing, MI, where his oncology team is located.

Just a day ago, Edward and Jennifer learned that his first infusion dates will be Sunday, October 12th and Monday, October 13th. His doctors have advised that he remain in Lansing during treatment weeks for his safety. While Jennifer already stays in Mason during the week with family, their household includes young children, and it would not be safe to risk exposing them during Edward’s therapy. Because of this, hotel accommodations are necessary during his treatment weeks.

Before his diagnosis, Edward and Jennifer often used their hotel points to help other family members in times of need. Those points have since been depleted, and now, as they face this challenge themselves, they are in need of some extra support to cover the cost of hotel stays and travel for treatment.
