Support Educators Advocating in Tallahassee

Spring Break! One would think that an exhausted educator would be escaping to the sunny shores of one of those places where umbrella drinks are the norm. I, however, have made the decision to participate in efforts to advocate for public education in Florida. I will be traveling to Tallahassee to join my Union brothers and sisters in meeting with lawmakers to speak up for our public schools. Educators and education staff professionals deserve the support that they need to keep moving our students forward academically. In previous years, I have gone out of pocket to visit the sausage factory on behalf of my community. This year, I will be returning to Tallahassee and would appreciate any sponsorship of my efforts. I want to be able to set up an expense account for communications services (e.g., hotel Wi-Fi, printing services), travel expenses (e.g. fuel), parking fees, and incidentals (tips, gratuities).
