Support education in a study abroad program

Donation protected
As a junior at Appalachian State University minoring in ASL and currently enrolled in ASL 3, I will have the incredible opportunity to study abroad in France to learn about the origins of American Sign Language (ASL) and French Sign Language (LSF) in March of 2026. My long-term goal is to become an occupational therapist working with children that have special needs who communicate using ASL. This experience will deeply enrich my understanding of Deaf culture and the roots of the language I’ve been studying for the past 2 years, allowing me to connect classroom learning with real-world experience. This will better my performance in the classroom and help me serve my future clients/patients. The funds raised will go directly toward travel expenses, meals, museum tours, and educational opportunities that will make this once-in-a-lifetime learning experience possible. Your help in sending me on this trip will be greatly appreciated whether big or small!
