This month, Carolina Connect is taking action on a problem that hits close to home: education inequality. As co-founders of this student-led initiative, my friend and I have noticed how access to quality resources, tutoring, and academic support can vary so much from student to student—even within the same county. We believe that every student deserves the chance to succeed, and we want to do something about it.

Carolina Connect is all about connecting communities and taking action. Each month, we choose a theme to focus on real issues affecting North Carolina, and for April, our theme is education. We are not just talking about the problem—we are actively helping. This month, we are offering free tutoring in math through our partnership with Mathnasium, giving students the support they need to thrive. Alongside tutoring, we are raising funds to support local programs that help students gain access to quality math and STEM resources.

Every dollar donated will go directly to organizations providing tutoring, learning materials, and enrichment opportunities for students who might not otherwise have access. Your support will help students build confidence, strengthen their skills, and open doors to new opportunities. Even small contributions can make a real difference.
