Support Eduardo's Long Road to Recovery

Hello friends and family, I usually would never do this, but my family is in need of help.

On December 22nd, my older brother, Eduardo Villalpando, his wife, my niece, nephew, and his mother-in-law were traveling from Texas to Jalisco, Mexico, to spend Christmas with family in Mexico when they were blindsided by a semi-truck. This resulted in a severe 4-car accident where my brother's truck was the first vehicle hit, taking in the worst of the crash. Luckily, his family was able to walk out with minor injuries, but my brother's corner was the most damaged, and he has been immobile in a Mexican hospital ever since. He has limited to no mobility in his limbs due to a severe spinal contusion, but miraculously, he has no broken vertebrae or brain damage.

My brother has no medical insurance and, as of today, he has spent a little over $10,000 USD out of his own pocket at the hospital in Zacatecas. Doctors have said this will not be a fast recovery and may take up to a year or longer to see results with physical therapy included. Due to this horrific accident, his family will lose his income and continue to have medical bills piling high as he will have to stay in Mexico until he is able to recover enough to transfer to another hospital in Jalisco and eventually back home so he can be with his wife and children during his recovery period as we continue to pray for a miracle.

Hola amigos y familiares. Normalmente nunca haría esto, pero mi familia necesita ayuda. El 22 de diciembre, mi hermano mayor, Eduardo Villalpando, su esposa, mi sobrina, mi sobrino y su suegra viajaban de Texas a Jalisco, México, para pasar la Navidad con familia en México cuando fueron sorprendidos por un camión semiautomático. Esto resultó en un grave accidente de 4 autos en el que la camioneta de mi hermano fue el primer vehículo golpeado y sufrió lo peor del accidente. Afortunadamente, su familia pudo salir con heridas leves, pero la esquina de mi hermano fue la más dañada y desde entonces permanece inmóvil en un hospital mexicano. Tiene movilidad limitada o nula en sus extremidades debido a una contusión espinal severa, pero milagrosamente, no tiene vértebras rotas ni daño cerebral. Mi hermano no tiene seguro médico y al día de hoy ha gastado de su propio bolsillo poco más de $10,000 dólares en el hospital de Zacatecas. Los médicos han dicho que esta no será una recuperación rápida y que puede tomar hasta un año o más para ver resultados con fisioterapia incluida. Debido a este horrible accidente, su familia perderá sus ingresos y seguirá teniendo facturas médicas acumuladas, ya que tendrá que quedarse en México hasta que pueda recuperarse lo suficiente como para trasladarlo a Jalisco y, finalmente, regresar a casa para poder estar. con su esposa e hijos durante su período de recuperación mientras continuamos orando por un milagro.
