Support Ed's Year of Caregiving Relief
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Karen, and I am the primary caregiver for my mother, Yoshi, who has been living with dementia for the past 10 years. I have a great support system, but I realize so many others do not. Being a caregiver to a person with dementia can be extremely lonely, exhausting, debilitating, and heartbreaking.
Before the dementia, my mother would be the first to help anyone in need or anyone less fortunate. In her honor, and in honor of September being Dementia/Alzheimer’s Awareness month, I’d like to give back to a person in need.
I met an 81-year-old gentleman at my caregiver support group. His name is Ed. Ed cares for his wife 24/7 without any help except for the one and a half hours a week his kind neighbor sits with his wife so that Ed can attend the support group. After getting to know Ed, my wish is to raise enough money to cover a year of caregiver expenses (30 hours a week at $20/hour). Approximately $31,200.
During a time where there is so much hate in the world, please help me in doing something kind. ❤️
Thank you!
