My name is Nina Martinez and I’m starting this fundraiser on behalf of someone incredibly special—Ed and Dulia Aguilar.

After a long and difficult journey battling kidney disease, Ed is receiving the life-saving kidney transplant he desperately needed. This transplant will give Ed a new lease on life, but his road to full recovery is just beginning—and it comes with significant financial challenges.

We are so grateful for this life-saving transplant, but the costs that come after are substantial and ongoing. Ed is currently facing:

Daily immunosuppressant medications to prevent rejection

Frequent lab tests and follow-up visits with his transplant team

Travel expenses to and from the transplant center

Out-of-pocket medical bills not covered by insurance

Time off work and lost income during recovery
