PLEASE HELP ME BRING MY STOLEN GOLDEN RETRIEVER ISABELLE BACK HOME
Hello, my name is Ed Berger. Last September, me, my partner, and our dog Isabelle, a beautiful nine-year-old golden retriever, were the victims of a violent, brutal home break-in and attack in Michigan. My precious Susan, the love of my life, did not survive. Miraculously, despite severe stab wounds, Isabelle and I made it through. After that tragic, horrifying night, a dispute arose over the ownership of Isabelle between, on one side, me and Isabelle's breeder, and on the other side, Susan's adult daughter. Every attempt at compromise on access to Isabelle was rebuffed. Then, on the night of January 7th, lying to me and her sister about her plans, Susan's daughter abducted Isabelle, put her in Susan's car, and drove her from Michigan to Austin, Texas, where she remains. Every appeal to return her—from me, the police, the breeder, neighbors, friends—has been ignored. I have now been forced to go to court to seek justice in this matter and retrieve the precious animal Susan and I shared as legal co-owners since she was a puppy. The loss I have already suffered is at times unbearable. Losing Isabelle would only magnify it. My legal bills are already considerable, and any amount you could contribute to cover future costs and help bring Isabelle home would be a true blessing.
