Ed is currently undergoing a kidney transplant, a life-changing procedure that brings both hope and significant challenges for our family. We live 2.5 hours away from the hospital where Ed is receiving his transplant, which means he and my mom have to temporarily relocate, leaving their four young children at home for three to six weeks. This separation is difficult for all of us, but we know it’s necessary for Ed’s recovery and long-term health.
