I wanted to provide you with an update on Ed's current status. Finally, Ed is airlifted to back to United States. He is currently receiving treatment at Mayo Clinic, where his labs are being closely monitored. Specifically, his hgb levels have been trending down over the past few days, while his creatinine levels are showing a slight increase. We kindly request your continued prayers for Ed's recovery during this challenging time.

Update as of September 14, 2023 from Ed’s Family:

Ed’s has been moved from the ICU to a regular room after his 5th surgery. We're really hoping it's the last one. The vac is no longer needed, and they'll be removing his FC soon. Now he can move around more freely with just the IV on his arm. Although his hgb and hct levels are still low, we're optimistic that the recent BT will help with that. His WBC count keeps dropping to 13.12, and his platelet count is at 486. Before his HD 2 days ago, his crea was only 1.8. Though Ed is still in a hospital in Dumaguete, Philippines. He got accepted at Mayo Medical ICU, and we're keeping our fingers crossed for a smooth journey ahead.

On Aug 22, Ed flew back to the Philippines for his most anticipated vacation but had an unfortunate accident that triggered a long and complicated hospital admission. As of writing, Ed is still in the ICU and already underwent 3 surgeries and subsequently intubated and dialyzed due to infection and failing kidneys. His WBC and Kidneys are still not in the best condition. This would also mean continued admission and dialysis for him. More than ever, Ed needs our financial support and prayers.

Ed has always been a kind and caring person, and now he needs our help more than ever. He's facing not only a challenging health battle but also financial difficulties to cover the costs of his medical treatment and recovery. As a nurse, Ed has dedicated his life to caring for others, and now it's our turn to show him the same compassion and support.
