Support Edmund's Urgent Medical Care

Today I had to take my boy, Edmund, to the emergency room and we found out that he has a potentially life threatening urinary blockage. This morning he was panting hard and he went to the bathroom on the floor so we rushed him to the vet. He will need to be held at the emergency room for three days so that the doctors can flush his bladder and monitor him for any further complications.

Three weeks ago, Edmund and I travelled for three days across the country together to make the move to Philadelphia. After being laid off earlier this year, I took any money I had left over and spent it on the move. Luckily, I found a job this past week after searching for months - however I haven't been able to financially recover quite yet and don't have the funds to cover this on my own.

Edmund's procedure is expected to cost $3,500 if things go right, but it could cost even more and lead to surgery should complications occur. Over these next few days I will get more information from the doctors, but this cost is unexpected and I am in quite a vulnerable position.

I love this cat so much. He's truly my best friend. My partner, Anna, found him and his siblings in a storm drain outside of her house a year and a half ago. Ever since I got him, I have been obsessed with this guy. He's the biggest cuddler, the loudest purr-er and I would do anything for him. If you have met him, I'm sure you would agree. All of the money I receive from this will go into not only the procedure itself but the specialized prescription pet food Edmund will need for the rest of his life to prevent this from happening again.
