A few months ago, our family received news that changed our lives forever: Edith was diagnosed with Stage III breast cancer.

Edith is a loving wife to Saul and a devoted mother to their beautiful daughter, Avielah. She is the kind of person who always puts others first, shows up for the people she loves, and finds ways to keep moving forward even during life's hardest moments.

Since her diagnosis, Edith has undergone major surgery, faced unexpected complications, and begun an incredibly difficult treatment journey. What we hoped would be a straightforward path to recovery quickly became more complicated. Following surgery, Edith developed a serious infection that required emergency medical intervention. As I write this, she is undergoing yet another surgery to help treat complications from that infection.

In addition to surgery and recovery, Edith is facing chemotherapy treatments and the physical, emotional, and financial challenges that come with them. Further genetic testing revealed that she carries a hereditary cancer mutation, increasing her risk for future cancers and potentially requiring additional preventative treatments and surgeries in the future.

While we remain hopeful and continue to fight alongside her every step of the way, cancer has created significant financial strain for their family. Medical bills, treatment costs, medications, time away from work, childcare needs, travel expenses, and unforeseen complications continue to add up.

What makes this especially difficult is that Edith is not only fighting for herself. She is fighting for her husband, Saul, and for their daughter, Avielah, who is still so young. Even in the middle of everything she is facing, Edith continues to worry about everyone else before she worries about herself.

My hope is that through this fundraiser, we can remind her that she does not have to carry this burden alone.

We are her village.

We are standing beside her through every appointment, every surgery, every treatment, every setback, and every victory ahead.
