Support Edie's Fight Against Cancer

Dear Friends and Family,

Our dear Edie has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and it has metastasized to her lymph nodes, her spine, and her hip bones. She has already undergone surgery, two rounds of chemo, and one round of radiation. I am devastated by her diagnosis, but I am so hopeful. As she switches to UCSF, the chances of entering a clinical trial are higher and her care more advanced.

Of course, her attitude and spirit are beyond beautiful and graceful, but this doesn't change the fact that this is hard and scary. As you know, Edie is a geriatric care manager - giving the support and love that now she must accept from other care givers - and is self-employed. Therefore she does not qualify for disability or unemployment, and it will take at least 6 months to access any of her social security. She is working minimally right now. Sophie is home now from San Diego, and Charlie is a junior in high school.

This is where her community rallies around her and we ask for your help. Edie has been my backbone these past two years, and I only wish I could give her the world to feel some financial relief right now.
