I'm setting this up for my dear friend Sarah, her husband, Edi, and their amazing family, who are facing something no family should have to endure.

A few days ago, everything changed for them when Edi was out for a hike and fell. The fall crushed part of his spine and severely damaged his spinal cord. Though he was in surgery for eight hours, right now, the damage isn't repairable.

I can only imagine what Sarah and the rest of the family are going through right now. They're facing astronomical medical bills, and she's trying to figure out how to be at the hospital with Edi while caring for the kids. She's missing work at a job she loves because her family needs her. And, of course, bills don't stop - mortgage, utilities, groceries, all of it still coming due while their income has all but disappeared.

If you know Sarah, you know she's the one who shows up for everyone else - she's mentored countless mothers, she's the friend who drops everything when you need her, and she's genuinely the best mother I've ever known. She gives and gives and gives.

Now she needs us.
