Help Edgar Almanza Bueno Fight Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
My name is Edgar Almanza Bueno, and I am 28 years old. I am currently fighting Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
My symptoms started in October, but despite multiple doctor visits, I was not diagnosed until mid-December. I have been hospitalized since then undergoing intensive treatment.
This diagnosis and hospitalization interrupted my final semester at the University of North Texas (UNT), where I was on track to graduate.
My treatment includes IV chemotherapy, spinal chemotherapy (which involves injecting chemotherapy directly into the cerebrospinal fluid), and blood transfusions. My immune system is currently suppressed. I am dealing with a painful ulcer in my throat that makes eating difficult, and I have lost a lot of weight. I am also fighting fever and fatigue as my body works through treatment.
If you pray, I humbly ask for prayers for:
• Complete healing
• Strength to endure chemotherapy and its side effects
• Relief from pain, fever, fatigue, and difficulty eating
Along with the medical challenges has come a financial stress.
Funds raised will help cover:
• Lost income for my parents while being with me
• Daily living expenses
• Travel to and from treatments and hospital stays
While this journey has paused my education, my hope is to return to UNT once I am healthy and complete my degree.
Any donation, share, or prayer truly means more than I can express. Your support helps lift a weight off my family and allows us to focus on healing and taking this one day at a time.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, generosity, and prayers during this difficult journey.
With gratitude,
Edgar Almanza Bueno
