Hi everyone, my name is Edgar, and the past few months have been quite a journey. In early April, I finally visited the doctor after struggling with severe fatigue for months. This led to a whirlwind of specialist visits, tests, and scans, all to find out what's been going on. In late May, the endocrinologist gave us the answer: thyroid cancer. On June 10th, I underwent a successful full thyroidectomy, and I've been recovering since then.
Unfortunately, this isn't the first time our family has faced this condition. My dad was diagnosed with thyroid cancer back in 2020, during the height of the pandemic, and he continues to receive treatment. Recently, both of my sisters were diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease, adding to the challenges our family has been navigating.
Starting on August 7th, I’ll begin the next phase of my cancer treatment. This season of life has been incredibly tough for all of us, but we're staying strong and hopeful.
I am deeply grateful for the support of friends and family who have stood by us, and I have seen God's goodness through it all. As I embark on this next step, I'm humbly asking for any support you can offer to help me and my family as we continue to fight these thyroid diseases. Most importantly, I ask for your prayers for healing and that God’s will be fulfilled through this trial.
Thank you so much for your kindness and support.
